The app asks for a MAC address or an activation

Some smart-TV apps — IBO Player, Net IPTV, Flix IPTV, Set IPTV, Duplex, Smart STB — are made by other companies and charge a one-off activation fee for each television, for life. That fee is theirs, not ours, and it is separate from your subscription.
What the app is asking for
On first launch the app shows two things:
- a MAC address, like
00:1A:79:12:34:56 - a Device key or Device ID
They identify that specific television. Photograph the screen — getting back to it later usually means resetting the app.
Two ways to activate
Do it yourself — go to the website the app names on screen, enter the MAC address and device key, pay their fee, and add your playlist (your playlist link).
Let us do it — in your account, open Apps & activation, choose your app, enter the MAC address and pay once. We register the device and load your playlist for you. You will get a message when it is done; it is a manual step, so allow a few hours.
After activation
Close the app on the TV and unplug the television at the wall for 30 seconds. Smart TVs keep apps in memory, and the app only re-reads its configuration on a cold start. Skipping this is why "I activated it and nothing changed".
Common mistakes
- The wrong MAC address. Use the one the *app* shows, not the network MAC address from the TV's settings menu. They are different numbers for the same television.
- Activating the wrong TV. In a house with two identical televisions, take the photo in front of the one you are activating.
- Expecting it to be instant. When we do it for you it is a person doing it, not a machine.
