The easiest device to set up, because you can paste instead of type.
1. Install a player
Open the App Store and install one of:
- IPTV Smarters Player (sometimes listed as *Smarters Player Lite*) — free
- GSE Smart IPTV — free, more settings
- Flex IPTV — small one-off charge
Apple removes and re-lists these apps regularly. If the one you want is not there, install whichever of the three you can find — they all take the same details.
2. Add your subscription (IPTV Smarters)
- Open the app and choose Login with Xtream Codes API.
- Any name:
Canalus - Username: your username
- Password: your password
- URL: your server address
- Tap Add User.
Tap and hold each field, then Paste — every value above has a copy button next to it. Do not retype them; a single wrong character produces "wrong username or password".
2b. GSE Smart IPTV
- Open GSE → the ☰ menu → Xtream Codes API.
- Tap + → fill in the same three values → Add.
3. Watch on the big TV
- AirPlay: start a channel, tap the AirPlay icon, choose your Apple TV or AirPlay-compatible TV.
- Cable: a Lightning- or USB-C-to-HDMI adapter mirrors the screen and is more stable than AirPlay on a busy Wi-Fi.
4. Two iOS-specific notes
- Low Power Mode throttles video. If playback stutters only on your phone, check the battery setting first.
- iOS pauses the stream when you lock the screen. That is Apple, not the subscription. Use the app's picture-in-picture button if you want it to keep playing while you use another app.
It still does not work
- "Wrong username or password" — the details are case-sensitive and there is no space at the end. Use the copy button above instead of typing them. Full checklist
- "Maximum connections reached" — someone else is watching. How to fix it
- The picture freezes — start here
- Channels are missing — start here
If none of that helps, run the troubleshooter in your account. It checks your actual subscription first, which is faster than describing the problem to us.
